Casual Volunteers

Interesting in helping out? Wonderful! The Fair does activities all year long, so even if you can only spare a couple of hours, your contribution is appreciated! Whether you are young, not so young, big, small, new to community, or have been here for years, we welcome you and your unique abilities. And yes, we do sign off on volunteer hours for high school students.

If you are interested in volunteering on a casual basis, please contact Mary Lichty-Neeb at mlichty@execulink.com or 519-504-6761. You are also welcome to attend a monthly Fair Board Meeting to get familiar with who we are and what we do.

Fair Meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of every month, except in January when we host our Annual General Meeting. Monthly meetings are held in the Small Hall in the Wellesley Community Centre at 1000 Maple Leaf Street, Wellesley Ontario, Canada.

Here is an example list of short-term volunteering opportunities:

  • Dairy Education Day – Lead groups of students between activity stations, or help serve ice cream!
  • Fair Gate Greeters
  • Fair Intake Day Volunteers – Help us register all the fair entries!
  • Set Up – Help us set up the tables, chairs, displays, and stage needed for a great time!
  • Take-down – Help us take everything down again!
  • Volunteer Coordinators – Help be a point person for volunteers during Fair days!
