The Wellesley Township Fall Fair hosts a community Scarecrow Competition every year from late spring up until Fair time in September.

Community members, families, and businesses are invited to create a scarecrow based on the categories outlined in this year’s Competition Guidelines. Participants then place their scarecrows on their property for the judges to visit. Businesses that win receive rosettes, and community members receive a monetary prize based on how they place in the competition.

Township Scavenger Hunt

Kick off the 2022 Scarecrow Competition with a Township-wide Scavenger Hunt! This is a one day only challenge, with six different hunts for you to complete. Every hunt you do gets you a ballot to win one of two Summer Fun Gift Baskets!

Join us June 4th starting at 9:00am. Download your Scavenger Hunts below, or pick up physical copies at the Wellesley Fall Fair Table at the Wellesley Farmer’s Market, located at 1004 Catherine St. Wellesley Village ON.

Follow The Scarecrow Trail!

Every year we design a Scarecrow Map featuring the street names that have Scarecrows on them.The map is updated as the competition unfolds throughout the spring into autumn. If you would like to be included on the Map but not judged in the competition email us at include your name and address and we will add you to the map.
