2022: Reconnecting Communities

Welcome to the 2022 Fair!

We hope you are as excited as we are to be able to have a Fair again! It has been a difficult couple of years, and we want the fair this year to provide an opportunity for everyone to begin to reconnect.

Our theme this year is Reconnecting Communities, as 2022 marks the beginning of reconnecting with those around us. We are all learning what is means to reconnect, and to maintain connections with friends, family, and our communities. To represent the beauty of connection, and reconnection, we are focusing on quilting for our Fair Theme this year. Quilts are complex, beautiful, and very useful. They bring together many fabrics, patterns, and people in order to create something new and unique! Quilts also have a deeply rooted history in rural and agricultural communities, as well as in Amish and Mennonite heritage in this area.

Join us this year as we host a Quilt Raffle at the Wellesley Township Fall Fair as the conclusion of our Community Quilt Project during 2021. We invited community members to create colourful, garden-inspired quilt blocks and to donate them to the Fair. The results were beautiful! From the blocks donated we were able to create a full quilt, and two table runners. Take a look as some photos below.

See you at the Fair!
