2022: Reconnecting Communities

This year marks the steady and exciting journey of reconnecting after two difficult years. We are all learning to reconnect with family, friends, and our communities. To represent the beauty of connection, and reconnection, we are focusing on quilting and sewing for our theme this year.

Quilts are complex, beautiful, and very useful art pieces. They bring together many fabrics, patterns, and people in order to create something new! Quilts also have a deeply rooted history in rural and agricultural communities, as well as Amish and Mennonite heritage in this area.
