Dairy Education Day
Our Dairy Ed. Day is designed to educate, inform, and have fun with families and students from Grades 3 to 4 within Wellesley Township. We invite classes from our three local schools (Linwood Public School, St. Clements Catholic School, and Wellesley Public School), as well as homeschooling groups, and if space allows, classes and schools outside Wellesley Township as well! Dairy Ed. Day takes place on the Tuesday morning and afternoon of the Wellesley Township Fall Fair.
Dairy Ed. is focused on the health and well-being of humans and cattle. Together with local volunteers, veterinarians, and cattle experts we curate a program that teaches students about where their milk, cheese, and ice cream come from. Students and teachers also get to witness a milking demonstration and Feed Presentation, as well as speak with experts and ask questions as they rotate through different activities.

Teachers are provided with information packets that have fun activities and educational materials for the students. Teachers and students also receive a fun handout bag that may include items such as dairy information, a cow eraser, an apple, and a carton of milk for the trip home.
